I’ve tried a few detanglers for my dog, but the Shiny Paw Mint Essentials Detangler Spray is by far the best!

It smells fresh (not overpowering), is super easy to use, and actually works. I have a long-haired dog that’s prone to knots and mats, and this spray made brushing so much smoother with zero pulling or discomfort.

What I love most is that it’s hypoallergenic — my pup has sensitive skin and this caused no irritation at all. Plus, his coat looks noticeably shinier and softer after each use. I even use it on my cat occasionally, and it works just as well.

The fact that it’s made in the USA is a bonus. If you’re looking for a gentle, effective detangler that leaves your pets looking and smelling great, this is it! Great product for a great price.

We have 2 poodles. One has a coat that tangles easily, so I'm always looking for something to help this. Although we keep her clip short for the most part, her tail is longer and tangles easily. If I brush her at night, it is tangled when she gets up in the morning. This spray not only made brushing and combing out her tail much easier but also resulted in fewer tangles the next morning.

The minty smell is not my favorite, but label indicates it is part of what makes it effective. It is a pleasant smell -- just not what I would pick if it wasn't what helps with the de-tangling.

I have been very happy with this spray and think it has been working nicely on my dogs hair. My dog is hypoallergenic along with being a teddy bear dog. She is picky about what I spray on her and wont let me spray her if it has a strong odor. Thankfully there was no odor for me and really didn't have a scent. This spray has been leaving my dogs hair soft and shiny. I have been truly so happy with the results and how grooming her is much easier. overall I am very happy with this and happy with the quality, value and the ease of use.

I have a poodle, and I do not clip her into the traditional poodle cut. I let her hair grow long and curly, and with the curls come tons of tangles. Needless to say, I had very high hopes for this product. I was NOT disappointed!

My poodle not only has tangled, curly hair, she is extremely sensitive and has allergies during the spring, making her skin extremely dry. After her bath, I put a generous coat of this detangle therapeutic conditioner on her. I combed it through her hair, and I kid you not, her hair was tangle -free! I massaged the minty formula into her skin and she was not itching like she usually does, fussing over her dry-spot areas.

I really enjoy the scent, and she is not bothered by it either. This formula comes in a big bottle, and it is nicely priced, making this a great value for my dog and I. I do plan on using this every time I wash my dog. I am still amazed at how shiny and healthy her fur has become. I strongly recommend this product for anybody dealing with tangled dog fur and for dealing with dogs who have sensitive, dry skin. This is truly a winning formula.

This is fantastic detangling spray! The sprayer distributes the spray evenly and lightly, it doesn't leave any saturated areas unless you continue to spray to achieve that, but it isn't necessary as a small amount of this quality product works quickly to remove any tangles. While this does have a mint smell when sprayed - it isn't strong at all. It's soft and it dries down to a really nice clean smell on the dogs fur. I have an uber sensitive sense of smell and can't tolerate strong smells or cloying smells that linger in my pups coats, so this spray works fantastic for me. This spray also nicely conditions the coat, which is great between baths. I will definitely buy this product again!
